Job Details for Account Director

Responsibilities

The primary focus of the Account Director will be to promote and secure solution sales of our client's enterprise product portfolios including - LAN Switching, IP Telephony, WIFI, Security, and applications such as Call Centers, UM, and IP Address Management to State and Local Government, Utility and Transportation markets.

Key Job Responsibilities:
* Achieve annual order and revenue targets
* Develop and execute an Enterprise sales strategy with associated account plans focused on key market verticals and target customers.
* Develop and foster senior level contacts and achieve trusted advisor status within targeted accounts.
* Pro-actively call on new accounts to position Enterprise products.
* Collaborate with the Services Sales team and the Services Product Management team to realize market objectives and financial targets.
* Aggressively share market requirements and assist with the creation and validation of customer value propositions.
* Marshall and lead cross-organizational deal pursuit teams.
* Accurate and on-time order forecasting.
* Budget and expense management
* Can do attitude & team player with proven ability to influence others to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications

Must be capable of positioning products to customers as vertically-focused solution sets with developed and sound business cases that effectively persuade prospective customers to invest. Must be capable of developing strong, highly effective, relationships with each of the appropriate Product Line Managers internal to the organization as well as other sales organizations within the company.

Must be confident and successful in an extremely fast paced, results-oriented organization where leadership, risk-taking, teamwork and commitment to execution are essential and embraced.

Must have a strong track record of success in telecom sales, and a strong desire to continue to succeed, work hard and persevere to make things happen.

Ability to influence and create strong teamwork and camaraderie through listening, being perceptive of others,hands-on, high energy, and a can-do attitude.

Must be extremely articulate with strong presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of senior level customer audiences and influence their decisions.

Be able to think outside the box to overcome political or technical objections and have a commanding board room presence and strong interpersonal skills to establish key relationships with the right executive decision makers.

Experience selling telecom solutions within State, Local Government, Utility and Transportation verticals, as well as intimate knowledge of the business issues associated with these verticals.
